The Hyundai i20 is a super-mini or subcompact car produced in 2008 by the Hyundai Motor Company. It was designed by a BMW designer named Thomas Burekle at Hyundai Designing Centre in Germany. It made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2008 and then it went on sale in December 2008 in India to fit between the i10 and i30. The Hyundai i20 is a front wheel drive car. It showcases the best blend of designing techniques and technology. This four wheeled beauty has a multitude of features like the character lines on the hood and side profile, wide air dam and flared wheel arches. No wonder then that the i20 is the hottest thing on wheels.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Building on the reputation for reliability and exceptional cost-effectiveness established by its Hyundai Getz predecessor, Hyundai i20 offers drivers more of everything – enhanced functionality from the intelligently configured cabin layout, higher levels of luxury, convenience and safety equipment, engaging handling from its all-new chassis and tuned suspension, and an extensive seven-strong line-up of punchy petrol and frugal turbo-diesel engines, with the choice of manual or automatic transmissions.

The i20 is mostly European because of its design and designer. It uses a completely new platform that was created at Hyundai’s European technical centre in Rüsselsheim to allow Hyundai to move into Europe’s highly competitive super-mini types. The chic new i20 follows in the stylish European footsteps of the acclaimed i10 and i30 models. Lower, longer and wider than the Getz it replaces, the five-door Hyundai i20 rides on an extended 2525mm wheelbase, enhancing both its athletic stance and spacious interior architecture. Branded with Hyundai’s signature design motifs – a bold chrome-topped grille flanked by piercing teardrop headlamps at the front and striking stacked rear light clusters, the i20′s modern lines are further strengthened by neat detailing, including color-coordinated bumpers, sills and wing mirrors and integrated antenna. And new Hyundai i20 arrives with a palette of 10 new solid and metallic exterior hues – including fashionable Crystal White.

Luxury and versatility blend seamlessly in the new Hyundai i20′s spacious and generously appointed cabin. With all four trim levels – Classic, Comfort, Style and Premium – featuring climate control, a powerful four-speaker radio, CD and MP3 audio system with integrated data display screen. A multi-function steering wheel, tire pressure monitoring system, height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry and electrically operated windows and side mirrors, Hyundai i20′s list of standard features puts it head and shoulders above the majority of its rivals.

Hyundai’s i20 debuts with a range of seven petrol and diesel engines that have been extensively revised to deliver greater performance and lower emissions than before. The Euro IV-compliant petrol line-up comprises the 78PS 1.2, 100PS 1.4 and 126PS 1.6 all available with five-speed manual transmissions, with the option of four-speed automatic gearboxes on the 1.4 and 1.6 models. With a low CO₂ rating of just 124g/km and returning just 5.2 l/100km on the combined cycle, the all-new 1.2 all-alloy engine delivers an excellent combination of performance and economy.

Agility and responsiveness play a key role in keeping the Hyundai i20 driver out of harm’s way. The driver and passengers are protected by the extensive use of high-tensile steel in the Hyundai’s robust chassis, six airbags – front, side and curtain – fitted as standard, active headrests, front seatbelt pretensioners and latest generation (ABS) anti-lock brakes, (ESP) electronic stability control, (EBD) Electronic Brakeforce Distribution. The Hyundai i20 is confident of a full 5 star safety rating from Euro NCAP adult occupant protection and child protection crash test result. It scored an impressive 6 out of a maximum 7 points in the “safety assist” category. Its belt reminder and electronic stability program which minimizes the risk of skidding by braking individual wheels received top marks. The i20 was named one of Euro NCAP’s “top five safest cars for 2009″, which was based on Euro NCAP’s maximum five star awards and their overall score.

The i20’s superiority in terms of styling, desirability, interior space & design, engine performance, value for money and suitability won it the prestigious CNBC TV 18 Overdrive Viewer’s Choice of the Year 2010 award. The i20 was awarded the prestigious NDTV Profit Car & Bike ‘Best Design of the Year 2010’ award for its great styling and unique looks.

The all-new Hyundai i20 is the epitome of the modern luxury compact. Sharp and stylish on the outside, spacious and versatile inside, it combines comfort, safety and reliability in a package that is most alluring.

The Hyundai Getz is a super-mini car produced in 2002 by the Hyundai Motor Company. It is available in three-door and five-door hatchback body styles with a 4-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission. It is sold in most parts of the world except the U.S. or Canada. It is also known as Hyundai Click in South Korea, Hyundai Getz Prime in India, Hyundai TB in Japan, Inokom Getz in Malaysia, and Dodge Brisa in Venezuela. The Getz distinguishes itself as a fresh and contemporary super-mini design with compact exterior dimensions that can accommodate five occupants and substantial amount of luggage.

The Getz shows of a combination of convenience and luxury. Its instrument panel has been restyled with fresh features, easier-to-read center bundle with a trip navigation system, and auxiliary warning lights. All derivatives come standard with power steering, central locking, front and rear electronic windows, air-conditioning as well as a driver airbag. Its high-end model, CDX+, includes front electric windows, leather gear knob, leather steering wheel, metal grain effect centre console, mudflaps, a rear spoiler, and a trip computer.

All-round packaging and practicality is good, making the Getz feel more upmarket inside than you might expect. Space is adequate in the front, and the seating position comfortable, if somewhat high. The five-year warranty is also fantastic, though higher levels of depreciation than some rivals dents the Korean’s appeal a little. The rear seats have lots of legroom, and have enough room for three, that everyone can move around with head or shoulder restraint. Reclined seatback and split-fold seats are large that provides relaxation in the trip for the passengers.

The Getz is so light that it feels remarkably responsive on the road. The steering isn’t perfect, but for a car designed primarily for zipping about town it’s hard to fault in this department. Through the corners, it is capable and safe. It has a tendency to push its nose wide and under-steer earlier than you would like, but body roll is well controlled. However, the steering weights up while the Getz is cornering and seems particularly dead when you apply more lock. It’s stable under braking despite a soft pedal, and offers a light, easy gearbox that’s compromised by a long clutch pedal travel and high biting point. Petrol engines are smooth in town but can become whiney when pressed; the diesel, in contrast, is very refined at all times, and one of the smoothest in its sector.

The popular European styling is the emphasis of its exterior design. Presenting an edgy rather than a rounded style, Hyundai makes use of simple lines to successfully express strength and spaciousness of its compact body. It’s a tiny car, but with lots of headroom thanks to that high roof line and a huge boot made all the more capacious by folding rear seats. It is available in the following furnish: Space Silver (Metallic), Sky Blue (Metallic), Midnight Grey (Metallic), Blue Onyx (Metallic), Noble White, Hip-Hop Red and Ebony Black.

The Getz may be small car, but can boast on safety and security. It furthers improves the side impact bars and airbags. Anti lock Brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), three rear 3-point seatbelts, central locking and an engine blocker heightened the road handling for better insure when there’s and emergency situations. In Australia, the 2002-2004 Getz was evaluated in the 2006 Used Car Safety Ratings (UCSR), and was awarded a respectable 4 stars (out of five) in its 2004 Euro NCAP and 2008 Australasian NCAP crash tests. It turned in what Euro NCAP described as a “reasonably balanced performance” and “generally good” in-car protection for children. However, the design of the car did little to protect pedestrians.

In the last quarter 2008, a fully electric version of the car was brought in to New Zealand and Australia. It tops the speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) and a range of 120 kilometers (75 mi) on a full charge.

All this and more makes the Getz one of the most feature rich vehicles in its kind. Its number of award speaks for itself; it is Australia’s Best Small Car in 2003 and 2005. Garnering more awards in 2003, it is the Scottish Small Car of the Year, Budget Car of the Year by the UK What Car Magazine, Budget Car Champion by the UK’s motoring program, Fifth Gear and Denmark’s Best Seller. In 2004, it is the Portuguese Car of the Year.

The Hyundai Getz is a small Asian car that has modern features and specification that meets the consumer’s demands.

“Because it’s all about the journey.”

Awarded as the 2009 North American Car of the Year, the Hyundai Genesis is not just a car of beauty but a performance car that is worthy to be the car of the year.

The Hyundai Genesis comes with 17-inch wheels, fog lights, a sunroof, keyless ignition/entry, heated mirrors cruise control, auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB interface, automatic headlights dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver seat, heated front seats, leather upholstery, a four-way power passenger seat, a tilt-telescoping steering wheel and a seven-speaker sound system with CD player, and satellite radio.

Hyundai Genesis has the new image of the Korean based car manufacturer. Cabin technologies and smooth running power are just some of its finest features. A Pre-Safety Seatbelt System, which can tighten a belt split-second before an impact, is among its cabin technologies. The transmission is quick to launch. On the road, the Genesis proves that it is manoeuvrable in crowded areas. Steering needs less effort to turn, and it changes lanes quickly. When in zigzag course, the V8 engine with 4.6 liter has moderate power. There is an iDrive joystick that explores the sounds which can be connected to Ipod. The Lexicon 7.1 Discrete Surround Sound System has 7-speaker 528-watt, one of the most sophisticated audio systems in the Genesis’ class. The bass is overwhelming and clarity is awesome.

When you’re in the driver seat, you’ll find all you need within arm’s reach. The large windows capitalize on visibility in all directions and the switches and buttons are situated close to the driver to lessen groping. There is also a Large LCD screen with high resolution graphics that provides you all the info you need for street traffic, trip information, and navigation. Even if you drive on a sunny day, glaring wouldn’t be a problem. The traffic indicators can also be seen.

You will think that you’re driving a Lexus, because of its bright electroluminescent gauges and best interior materials. The Hyundai Genesis has a Lexus-like appearance, if you will not look at the spanning “H” logo on the steering wheel. Its front-seat has enough padding to have comfortable driver and passenger seats that also gives good thigh support. Hyundai also offers cooled driver’s seat but it’s optional. Even if you will have long trips, the spacious legroom will provide a pleasant travel experience. With 109.4 cubic feet of passenger volume, the Genesis provides the most space. There is plenty of room in front, and the spacious backseat handles passengers well, and the backseat is equally comfortable like the driver’s seat. Standard heated leather bucket seats give the driver and front passenger good thigh support and are finished in a higher grade of leather than the V-6-powered Genesis 3.8′s seats. A cooled driver’s seat is optional. Backseat comfort is equally good.

The dashboard is made up of various panel from wood to metal adorns and center stack controls. The buttons on the dashboard, steering wheel and center console is easy to control with its user-friendly touch screen interface.

Genesis is a big luxury sedan but moves quickly in a straight-line. With its power train V8 375 HP and 333 lb-ft engine, that uses premium fuel which has a six-speed in automatic with manual shift feature that gives power to the rear wheels. In spite of its large size, the rear-wheel-drive Genesis’ balanced chassis and limited body roll lets you drive it like a sports car, which helps validate its firmer ride. The chassis is solid that agile and takes the right balance and is comfy. According to reports, Hyundai Genesis, is a compelling alternative to American sport sedans. It also comes with antilock brakes with brake assist. Stability control side curtain airbags, front and rear side airbags are some of its great features in a sedan. Parking sensors and rear view camera are add-on features. When it comes to safety, the government gave it 5 stars in all categories, and it also got a “Good” in its front, side and roof strength tests from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Power and fuel efficiency coexist effectively in the Genesis, which gets the best gas mileage while bringing out the most horsepower.

Hyundai Genesis costs $38,000 for the full V8 375 HP engine. You can get the most of your money with this quality car. The overall technological package can compete with other sedan series from Japan and Germany. Genesis is very safe, high tech and very practical in all areas of a quality car. Buying this is a great deal. Hyundai listens to what their customers want and then delivers what they expect, that’s why it earned a respected name in the car industry. Korean automakers provide the best customer care for their clients.

It is available in GLS and Limited trim levels.

The cabin is very different from its predecessor, the modern interior includes dashboard lines and a center console that has high-resolution touch-screen navigation system that contains a back-up camera for both GLS and Limited trims, and the screen is placed higher on the dash. The other features in the interior cabin includes standard remote keyless entry , standard trip computer, a 14.8-cubic-foot trunk, CD stereo with USB and auxiliary inputs, standard 60/40-split folding backseat, air conditioning, cruise control and Bluetooth cell-phone connectivity. The materials used are high grade and fiberboard headliner is made out of woven fabric pattern. The backseat has enough legroom for larger and taller passenger. The Limited trim has heated rear seats, an outstanding characteristic in this category.

The 2011 Hyundai Elantra, has a best gas mileage powered by 148-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder that gets an EPA-estimated 29/40 mpg city/highway with either manual or automatic transmission, that didn’t let go of the drivability to reach the economical mileage chassis. The six-speed automatic transmission is developed by Hyundai that helps improve fuel use and drivability. It has an electric power steering that doesn’t need much force to turn the wheel and has a straight line tracking.

In all Hyundai’s line-up, Elantra has also the safety standard features such as the side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system, which is part of the Vehicle Stability management technology that uses electric power steering to keep the car on its designated route.

Hyundai’s fully renovated Sonata Sedan has been successful since it was launched. The midsize Elantra has the same redesigned style that Sonata does. Low-cost pricing, stylish, value packed features, and fuel efficiency will give customers a reason to think before buying an auto. The Elantra’s comfort and handling is very pleasing for daily commuters.

The Hyundai Azera came from quite long line of Hyundai car modesl from Hyundai Motor Corp. which was produced in 1986. Hyundai Azera is the fourth generation car which was marketed first in North America. Hyundai Azera is a front-engine, front-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door sedan. In 2011, only slight cosmetic changes on its new six-speed transmission and enhanced power for both engines , and a revised exterior that boasts new bumpers, a chrome grille LED surrounds for the headlamps, and LED taillights.

Azera has two models, the GLS and Limited and it comes with different V-6 engines that are fuel efficient and has good power performance. The 3.3L V6 engine has a city fuel economy rating of eighteen mile per hour. Both engines have an automatic transmission with a newly found sixth gear, that improves fuel economy. The Azera when driving on the interstates the car can be compared to a yacht for it quietness and restful ride.

Azera’s headlights have more classic look than those on the previous Azera. It adopts the Hyundai’s Genesis Coupe’s lower bumper and air dam. The LED taillights and side-mirrors have been reshaped and the wheels have a new 17-inch alloy design. GLS comes with new exterior features such as power folding side mirrors with turn signals, fog lights and heated, and the body colored side mirrors. A new six-speed transmission with manual shift control also aids fuel economy, and it has an “eco” light on the gauge cluster. The cool thing with the eco light is that it illuminates when the vehicle is being driven well. The cabin seats five and with its new brushed faux-metal trim below the center controls, and the backseat can fit adults comfortably. There’s a navigation system with Infinity Surround Sound Stereo, MP3 capability and USB iPod compatibility. It also has dual zone automatic climate control, heated leather upholstery, power seat fronts, a power tilt/telescope steering wheel.

The safety and security features of Hyundai Azera include airbags in front and rear seats, dual front sidesm and the side curtain airbags for both rows. Standard occupant sensor, In-Vehicle Assistance Service, Stolen-vehicle tracking and door locks with two stage unlock. The driver and passenger front impact airbags, rear center 3 point seatbelt, ABS brakes, ignition disable are some of its safety overview. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety had a crash test and gave Azera the top score for frontal crashes. It also received an acceptable grade in rear- and side-impact ratings. NHTSA Crash Test Data grants Hyundai Azera four stars for the Front, Passenger’s, Front, Driver’s and , Rollover Resistance. It received five stars for Side Rear Seat and Side Front Seat that is a good rating for a big sedan model.

Hyundai Azera has been excellent when it comes to dependability. The standard warranty for Hyundai is a five-year comprehensive coverage and ten years on the power train. The Hyundai’s warranty is among the best in the car industry. The Azera starting price is just over $25,000 up to $30,00 thousand if you add more advanced features. For a better navigation system, you can spend $1750 with the cutting edge technology, and another $5000 for other specification. It is a big car with class and has great navigating system, it drives much better than the Genesis and it is more attractive to any of its contemporary luxury car.

With the successful release of the Hyundai Coupe F2 in 1998 to commemorate their World Rally Program, Hyundai decided to further develop the Coupe F2 and presented to the market in June 1992 the Special Edition Hyundai Coupe F2 Evolution.

The Special Edition Coupe F2 Evolution is the top level model in the Hyundai Coupe series. It features many developments mechanical wise and some changes in the interior of the car. Like the Hyundai Coupe F2, Motor Sport Developments (MSD), the company that built the Hyundai Coupe F2 World rally cars, also designed the Special Edition Coupe F2 Evolution. It is the road car version widely based on the Hyundai World Rally Car. MSD operated as Hyundai’s motor sports partner since 1997.

With a very strong base car in the Hyundai Coupe which already had a variety of standard features such as leather interior, cruise control, electric windows, mirrors and sunroof, and ABS brakes, MSD wanted to further create a version of the Hyundai Coupe that was more advanced.

On the performance aspects of the Coupe F2 Evolution, MSD focused on further improving the engine and brakes. They also created a variety of trim upgrades which made the F2 Evolution sportier but still maintaining and enhancing comfort.

Although the Special Edition Coupe F2 Evolution is hugely based on Hyundai’s current rally cars of the time, it did not have the same engine power outputs. The rally engines had 265hp. Still, the F2 Evolution engine was tuned to make it the most potent engine in the Hyundai Coupe range. The F2 Evolution still uses the 2.0 liter four-cylinder twin cam engine like the standard Coupe and F2, although power was bumped up by 12% to 154hp. This increase can widely be attributed to a higher lift camshaft which was the same design used in Hyundai’s 1.8-litre Beta engine.

Upgrades to the exhaust system were also done, with major improvements via a new free-flowing system produced by Magnex, who are also exhaust makers for Aston Martin. This new exhaust system also contributed to the increase in power to 154hp, but hugely provided better torque output by 5%, from 134lb-ft to 140lb-ft at 4900rpm. The back of the exhaust system has a single wide-bore stainless steel oval exhaust tail-pipe.

Transmission choices are the same as with the standard Coupe and F2. There is a five-speed manual, or an optional four-speed automatic transmission.

With the higher power output of the engine, MSD knew they had to put better brakes on the Special Edition F2 Evolution. Working with AP Racing, the brake providers for Hyundai’s the rally cars, they increased the performance and durability of the four-wheel disc brakes. The Coupe already had good brakes, but MSD and AP Racing made them better, better heat dissipation meant brakes did not fade under hard driving and they also improved brake modulation.

Styling and performance changes in the F2 Evolutions body were designed by world famous car designer Peter Stevens. Having designed on many sports car legends like the McLaren F1 and Lotus Elan, he was also responsible for the design of Hyundai World Rally car. His vision for the Coupe F2 Evolution was to make a unique look but still pay homage to the Hyundai Rally Car.

Rather than bolting on a generic spoiler, Stevens designed a new front bumper and spoiler set. It had deeper shape and sharper edges to better reduce drag. The fiberglass front spoiler was color coded and featured standard oval shaped fog lights that perfectly matched the contour of the headlights.

The Special Edition Coupe F2 Evolution also featured a new rear wing. Peter Stevens designed the wing to be taller than the ones found on other Hyundai Coupe models. Perfectly blending with the profile of the car, it is very similar to the rally car’s rear wing. Designed to guide airflow across the back of the car through the use of triple pylons and ears at either end of the wing, this helped in stability and increasing downforce to the rear. Like the front spoiler, the rear wing is also color coded. It has an integrated third brake light. F2 Evolution emblems on the front wings and rear panel of the car also made the model easily identifiable from other Coupe variants.

The F2 Evolution was available in two colors, Bright Silver metallic or Cobalt Blue mica.

The F2 Evolution also came out with new specially designed German-made ATS 16-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which closely followed the appearance of the Hyundai Coupe Rally car. The Hyundai ‘H’ badge is stamped into one of the spokes and there are F2 Evolution center covers. Yokohama tires made from softer compounds provided better grip not only in acceleration but in cornering as well.

For the Special Edition Hyundai Coupe F2 Evolution, new standard interior features included cream-colored gauges that hadF2 Evolution logos and leather covered handbrake lever, gear lever and center armrest. The Coupe F2 also came with a short-throw gear shifter which had a chrome shift knob. Floor carpets were made form lambswool and had F2 Evolution badges. These badges can also be found in the chrome sill plates and kick panels.

The audio system featured a Sony CD hi-fi system with 40W x 4 of power. It had RDS facility and a removable front panel for added security. A Thatcham Category 1 remote-operated alarm manufactured by Cobra also came as standard in the Special Edition Hyundai Coupe F2.
